Dr. Paul Miller
Paul has over 30 years’ experience supporting and growing small businesses in addition to operating businesses himself. This gives Paul unique and relevant skills and knowledge – to understand what supports are needed to help individuals start and grow their own business in Ballarat.
Mentor & Support
Since 2001 Paul has been supporting individuals become entrepreneurs taking an idea from the concept stage to a fully operational business – supporting 1000’s businesses commence in Melbourne as well as Ballarat and surrounds. Paul has helped create businesses reflecting the unique characteristics of the local people and culturally diverse backgrounds.
Paul has done it all. He has mentored, trained and run a business and has experienced the impacts of a changing labour market.
Paul believes age provides a distinct advantage, both in starting a business as well as in the mentoring and coaching role. Paul is passionate about helping individuals who often believe they have limited or no career options because of their age, once becoming unemployed, to challenge this paradigm.
Paul started an online Marketplace – a website marketplace where independent sellers (Australian makers, creators, artists & artisans and boutique manufacturers) are able to open their own shops, and list and sell their products.
Paul is a deal maker – focussing on how to find and create a solution and not be beaten by a barrier. Paul is a networker and has established networks across Ballarat that as an Entrepreneurship Facilitator will be highly beneficial for any individual mentored and supported by Paul.
